ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a method of making permanent magnets, especially rare-earth ion permanent magnets composed of compacted Fe-B-R type alloy particles. Accordingly, the method provides compacting the magnetic particles into a desired shape having voids between some of the compacted particles. The voids between the particles are filled with a sealing agent and the compact is further coated with either an organic coating or metallic coating.
