ABSTRACT:
A silver halide color photographic material improved in sensitivity, gradiation and maximum density when the material is treated with a rapid processing. The silver halide color photographic material comprises a support and photograhic component layers including at least one silver halide emulsion layer comprising (a) silver halide grains comprising not less than 80 mol % of silver chloride, (b) a gold compound in an amount of from 5.times.10.sup.-7 to 5.times.10.sup.-3 mol per mol of silver halide contained in said silver halide emulsion layer, (c) a sulfur sensitizer and (d) a spectral sensitizing dye represented by the following general formula [I]: ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1, X.sub.2, X.sub.3 and X.sub.4 are a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group or a hydroxy group, respectively; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are an alkyl group, respective;y X.sup..crclbar. is a counter anion and n is 0 or 1.
