ABSTRACT:
The invention provides an overload detector with a simplified system configuration to be applied to a railway car having a connecting bogie. A connecting bogie52(two axle bogie) having front and rear wheels52C and52D are disposed to extend between a first car C1and a second car C2. The front and rear cars C1and C2are supported via air springs52A and52B on the connecting bogie52. The other end of the car C1is supported via air springs51A and51B on a bogie51(two axle bogie) having front and rear wheels51C and51D. The other end of the car C2is supported via air springs53A and53B on a bogie53(two axle bogie) having front and rear wheels53C and53D. Pneumoelectric converters41and42are disposed along paths of pneumatic pipings21and22, and the inner pressure of air springs51A and51B is converted into an inner pressure signal AS1, and the inner pressure PAS2of the air springs52A and52B is converted into an inner pressure signal AS2. The inner pressure signals AS1and AS2output from the pneumoelectric converters41and42are input to a computing processor3. Overload is determined based on signals AS1and AS2.
