ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a rail-bound vehicle for an amusement park ride. The vehicle has an upper part10with vehicle seats12, as well as a carriage20whose running wheels22and lateral wheels23run on rail-tubes, as do its lift-off rollers24. The upper part10can rotate freely around a vertical axis16relative to the carriage20. A brake disk14′ made of a metallic material is provided on the underside of the upper part10. Permanent magnets31connected to the rail system are assigned to this brake disk14′. The brake disk14, upon passing these permanent magnets31, enters the latter's magnet field, with the result that the upper part10of the vehicle is braked and set into rotational motion due to the continued linear movement of the carriage20.
