ABSTRACT:
A guard assembly for a self-contained control valve for a steam or hot water radiator/convectors has a cage formed by a number of rings to which straps are welded and can be fitted over the pipes connected to the control valve via U-bolts clapped by saddles and nuts to the pipes. The rigid cage prevents injury to the control portion of the valve.
