ABSTRACT:
A radiation image storage panel having a phosphor layer formed by a gas phase-accumulation method, in which the phosphor layer is made of an europium activated alkali metal halide stimulable phosphor (in which the alkali metal atom is Rb and/or Cs and the halogen is Cl, Br and/or I), and the phosphor layer gives off a stimulated emission whose afterglow at 0.24 millisecond observed after excitation with a stimulating light has an intensity of 1/102.1or less of a maximum intensity of the stimulated emission (the stimulated emission and afterglow is observed after the phosphor layer is exposed to radiation and then excited with the stimulating light).
