A radiation image storage panel comprising a support, a phosphor layer which comprises a binder and a stimulable phosphor dispersed therein and a protective film, superposed in this order, which is characterized in that said protective film comprises a plastic material and has a water vapor transmission of not higher than 45 g/m.sup.2.24 hrs.
