ABSTRACT:
To provide a low power consuming image pickup apparatus, for a radiation image pickup apparatus using an FPD, which can sufficiently initialize dark current component stored in the photoelectric conversion element, specifically electric charges trapped at the trap level. After the power to the radiation image pickup apparatus has been turned on, a readout circuit24stops operating in the standby state, thin-film transistors2and20a, 20b, . . . , 20care turned on, and the first bias circuit25and the second bias circuit26operate thereby initializing the photoelectric conversion element3.
