ABSTRACT:
Radiation-cured film webs are prepared from copolyesters having terminal hydroxyl groups, not more than 90% of the hydroxyl groups having been replaced by acrylate or methacrylate groups. The copolyesters comprise at least two different dicarboxylic acids and have a copolymer chain which is branched due to the presence of more than bifunctional polyester components, and must have a glass transition temperature of -30.degree. to +30.degree. C. and an average molecular weight between 1,000 and 10,000. The film webs are particularly suitable as a backing carrier coated on one or both sides with pressure-sensitive adhesives in the manufacture of labels or as the backing carrier of adhesive tapes.
