ABSTRACT:
The circuitry includes a pulse radar set including a transmitter and a fi receiver which share a common antenna which is arranged to both launch and receive plane polarized waves at 45.degree. to the earth's surface. A second antenna and receiver are arranged to respond only to target echoes polarized orthogonally to those transmitted. Means are provided to measure and compare the amplitudes of the target echoes which arrive with the two orthogonal polarizations and the shape of the target can be inferred from such measurements.
