ABSTRACT:
A quinoxalinone derivative of the following formula: ##STR1## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each methyl, ethyl or propyl; and R.sub.3 is a chlorine atom or azide, is a reagent capable of high-sensitivity labelling for fluorescence that reacts quantitatively with each of primary, secondary and tertiary hydroxyl groups to provide for easy labelling for fluorescence and which allows quantitative analyzing over a wide detection range.
