Phytobactericidal compositions which contain, as active ingredient, a compound of the formula I, or one of the salts thereof, ##STR1## wherein X represents hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine, and R represents a lower alkyl group, are suitable for combating Erwinia spp., particularly E. amylovora (fireblight on fruit trees) and E. carotovora (soft rot on potatoes and vegetables).
