ABSTRACT:
Quaterrylene useful as pigments or fluorescent dyes have the formula ##STR1## where the two radicals R are each hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 -alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted phenyl.
