ABSTRACT:
A quaternary ammonium succinimide salt composition represented by the formula: ##STR1## in which R is a hydrocarbyl radical having from 25 to 200 carbon atoms, R.sub.1 is a divalent hydrocarbon radical having from 3-10 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 is hydrogen or an alkyl radical having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, z has a value from 0 to 5 and X is a halide radical is provided, as well as a method of preparation and a lubricating oil composition containing same.
