ABSTRACT:
A pyrF gene is useful as a selection marker gene for an expression system for the production of proteins in mushrooms of the genusTrametes, CoriolusorPolyporus. The pyrF gene includes a DNA sequence SEQ ID NO: 1 from position 1133 up to and including position 1877 or DNA-sequence SEQ, ID NO: 2 from position 1 up to and including position 684 or a DNA-sequence with a sequence homology greater than 60% relative to the above-mentioned regions of sequence SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 2.
