An object of the present invention is to provide a novel pyrene compound. Provided is a pyrene compound represented by the following general formula (I):wherein: R1and R2each represent a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; and Ar1, Ar2, Ar3, and Ar4each represent a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group and the like.
