ABSTRACT:
An improved tubular composite for transmitting substantial thrust forces has a tubular core of continuous reinforcing fibers in a resin matrix unidirectionally and longitudinally oriented. Integral with the core is a sheath of resin impregnated continuous fibers oriented at about .+-.40.degree. to about .+-.60.degree. with respect to the longitudinal axis of the core.
