ABSTRACT:
A push lock actuable anti-theft vehicle device for a vehicle having a hood. A hood coupling member for coupling the hood to the vehicle is secured within an engine compartment of the vehicle and has a first locked position and a second unlocked position. The hood coupling member is operable by a keyed push lock member through a cable. An electrical contact is opened or closed by an engagement member of the push lock member upon actuation of the coupling member. The push lock member is manually operable to lock the coupling member and is operable by a restricted distribution key to unlock the coupling member.
