ABSTRACT:
Reduction of TiCl.sub.4 with an excess of Et.sub.n AlCl.sub.3-n where n = 1 to 1.95 preferably AlEtCl.sub.2 at -20.degree. to +30.degree. C results in a purple catalyst.
