ABSTRACT:
Alkyl nitrite-containing exhaust gases are purified in continuous form by treating them with equimolar to excess amidosulphuric acid in the form of an aqueous solution in the manner of a counter-current scrubbing at a temperature of 0.degree.-100.degree. C.
