ABSTRACT:
The present invention is directed to a family of unique antimycotic lipopeptide compounds produced byPseudomonas viridiflava. The lipopeptides are effective against both human and plant fungal pathogens, and are typically characterized by their ability to inhibit growth ofCandida albicans. Representative lipopeptides of the invention have molecular weights of 1137, 1153, 1164 and 1181 daltons.
