ABSTRACT:
A MEA6having a proton conductive membrane is sandwiched by metal plates14, 15and they are further sandwiched by heat pressable films20, 21. An opening24and an opening18are formed in the heat pressable film20and the metal plate14, respectively so that an electrode10is used as the sensing electrode and exposed to atmosphere to be measured. Openings25, 19are formed in the heat pressable film21and metal plate15, respectively so that an electrode11is used as the counter electrode, and water vapor is supplied to the electrode from a water pack.
