A coating for polystyrene foam products is set forth. The coating has the preferred form of a first latex layer of copolymer of butadiene with either styrene or vinylidene chloride or both mixed with a fine aggregate such as silica flour or fly ash and a top layer made of one or more strata of a thermosetting resin.
