ABSTRACT:
A prophylactic and therapeutic agent is provided for the prevention and treatment of cataracts. The agent is comprised of glutathione monoalkyl esters such as, isopropyl.gamma.-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl glycinate sulfate, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
