A CPU unit2has a liquid crystal display screen10, a plurality of operation keys12, and the like. Each of expansion units3to8has a push switch button14. For example, when an operator pushes the switch button14-1of the ID-1unit3, information concerning the unit3is displayed on the liquid crystal screen10. Next, the operator operates one of the predetermined operation keys12of the CPU unit2, whereby the display contents of the screen10are removed and another piece of information concerning the unit3is displayed.
