A monoclonal antibody is disclosed which is reactive to Treponema denticola nd produced by the hybridoma deposited under ATCC HB 9967. The invention also disclosed diagnostic reagents and methods for detecting Treponema denticola utilizing the hybridoma deposited under ATCC HB 9967.
