ABSTRACT:
A block copolymer expressed by the general formula: ##STR1## X.sub.1 is a group derived from the polymerization of .alpha.-substituted acrylic acid hydroxy ester, X.sub.2 is a polyoxyalkylene, R.sub.1 is a divalent hydrocarbon group, R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or methyl group, and R.sub.3 is a divalent hydrocarbon-based group.
