ABSTRACT:
An end surface1aof sintered bearing1is abutted on a die10so that the sintered bearing1is mounted thereon, and a tool40is abutted on the other end surface1bof the sintered bearing1. While the sintered bearing1is pressed by the tool40, high frequency vibration in an axial direction is supplied from a horn30to the tool40by operating a vibrator20so as to give repeated impacts to both end surfaces1aand1bof the sintered bearing1, and pores of the end surfaces1aand1bare thereby sealed. The die10and the tool40have surfaces abutting the sintered bearing1, and the surfaces have roughness of 0.4 s or less and hardness of HRA 60 or more, and the tool presses the sintered bearing at a pressure of 70 to 700 kPa. The high frequency vibration supplied to the tool40has a power of 50 to 3000 W/cm2, and it has a frequency of 10 to 50 kHz.
