ABSTRACT:
An apparatus for producing toner for developing an electrostatic latent image, is provided with an inlet section to receive a slurry containing toner particles, impure fine particles having a specific gravity smaller than that of the toner particles and aqueous medium; a centrifugal concentrating device for applying centrifugal force to the slurry and having a precipitating plate with which the toner particles are precipitated from the slurry and an accommodating section to accommodate a concentrated slurry containing the precipitated toner particles, andan outlet section to deliver impure fine particles and aqueous medium.
