ABSTRACT:
In the bulk or suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride and copolymerization of vinyl chloride with vinylidene monomers containing a terminal CH.sub.2 .dbd.CH< group, increased heat stability is obtained in the polymers by conducting the polymerization at low temperatures in the presence of tetrahydrofuran (THF).
