ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a bright stock base oil blend comprising of a paraffinic base oil component having a viscosity at 100° C. of from 8 to 25 mm^/sec and a residual and de-asphalted oil component, and the use of said blend as part of a gear oil or a cylinder oil formulation, and other uses.
