ABSTRACT:
The procedure for transmitting SMS messages with protected identity prevents the recipient of an SMS message from seeing the caller's telephone number, and therefore the corresponding personal data, but allows him to contact the caller by sending an SMS message. During the procedure, the service manager ciphers the user's telephone number contained in the message header, and then subsequently deciphers it to restore the original telephone number.
