ABSTRACT:
A method of tanning an animal skin with wool or hair attached thereto wherein the animal skin is pickled in an acidic solution and thereafter tanned in a solution containing at least one tanning agent characterised in that the animal skin is picked and tanned while a holding agent is present on the wool or hairs and is thereafter scoured so to remove the holding agent.
