A process for the silylation of unsaturated, naturally occurring oils or the interesterification products thereof, comprises reacting the unsaturated, naturally occurring oils or the interesterification products thereof, at a temperature of 200.degree.-350.degree.C. under inert gas, with silicon compounds of Formula I ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or an unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon residue of 2-6 carbon atoms,
