ABSTRACT:
A process for the separation of one monosaccharide from another. An aqueous feed solution of the monosaccharides is diluted with ethanol and then contacted with a crystalline aluminosilicate adsorbent exhibiting an adsorptive selectivity towards one of the monosaccharides. The one monosaccharide is adsorbed and thereafter recovered.
