A process for the production of a bis-azomethine pigment having the formula ##STR1## in the pigmentary form in which it has an orange red color and, under the conditions defined by the C.I.E. system of color measurements, has an x chromaticity coordinate of from 0.59 to 0.63 and a y chromaticity coordinate of from 0.33 to 0.36, which process comprises:
