ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a process for the production of a transdermal therapeutic system containing the active substance 17-.beta.-estradiol and optionally further active substances having a laminated structure positioned on a backing layer which is essentially impermeable to active substance and moisture, one or more matrix layers and optionally an adhesive layer, characterized in that at least one of the matrix layers or the adhesive layer contains anhydrous 17-.beta.-estradiol in crystalline form.
