ABSTRACT:
2,3-DIHYDRO-1,3-OXAZINEDIONES-(2,4) ARE PRODUCED IN ONE STEP WITH GOOD YIELDS AND AT LOW REACTION TIMES BY REACTING A CORRESPONDING 1,3-DIOXINONE-(4) WITH AN APPROPRIATE ISOCYANATE AT TEMPERATURES OF E.G., 80.degree. TO 200.degree.C.
Certain novel oxazinediones, useful as intermediates for making herbicides, are produced thereby.
