ABSTRACT:
This invention discloses a novel process for producing p-t-butyl-.alpha.-methyldihydrocinnamaldehyde which comprises converting the .alpha.-methyldihydrocinnamaldehyde to an enamine, oxazolidine or a Schiff's base, reacting said derivative with a tertiary butyl cation, and then removing the protective group.
