ABSTRACT:
Novel, advantageous process for the preparation of free-flowing, coarsely crystalline sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate by reacting dichloroisocyanuric acid and sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate in a reaction medium containing 20 to 30 parts by weight of water per 70 to 80 parts by weight of an organic, water-miscible solvent which is inert towards dichloroisocyanuric acid, and removing the organic solvent, together with the free water still present, by drying in vacuo at temperatures from room temperature to 50.degree.
