ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a process for the preparation of carbonyl diisocyanate, CO(NCO).sub.2, which comprises reacting trichloroisocyanuric acid and/or an alkali metal salt of dichloroisocyanuric acid with phosgene at temperatures of from about 150.degree. to about 200.degree.C.
