ABSTRACT:
A process for the preparation of hydrocarbylalumoxanes comprising oligomeric, linear and/or cyclic hydrocarbylalumoxanes, which comprises contacting a hydrocarbylaluminum dissolved in an inert dry organic liquid with a hydrated salt of a metal which is not reduced during contact with the trihydrocarbylaluminum at temperatures between -30.degree. C. and 110.degree. C.
