ABSTRACT:
.alpha.-fluoro-.beta.-dicarbonyl compounds are prepared by reacting a halogenated dicarbonyl compound at temperatures of 20.degree. to 100.degree. C. with an addition product of hydrogen fluoride and a trialkylamine. This process is easy to carry out in technical terms and can also be carried out on a large scale.
