ABSTRACT:
A process for the oxidation dyeing of keratinous fibers, characterized in that it comprises contacting the fibers, in the presence of an oxidizing agent, with a composition containing at least one oxidation dye and with a gas containing water vapor, the temperature of the gas being at least 75.degree. C., preferably greater than 75.degree. C., and the contact time not exceeding two minutes, preferably less than two minutes. The hair is dyed uniformly over the whole head of hair, from the roots to the ends, regardless of the condition of the hair.
