ABSTRACT:
perchloroethylene with hydrogen fluoride in the vapor phase over a fluorination catalyst in a fluorination reactor with recycle of recycled to the fluorination reactor. The tetrafluoroethane and the chlorotetrafluoroethane can both be separated from the product stream in a single distillation column and recycled, together to the fluorination reactor.
