ABSTRACT:
There is provided an improved method for the production of o-aminophenyl ketones of formula I wherein R is C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 haloalkyl. ##STR1## Compounds of formula I are key intermediates in the manufacture of sulfamoyl urea herbicides.
