ABSTRACT:
A process for the production of a pigment composition in bead form which comprises contacting with agitation, in the presence of an aqueous protective colloid, 1 part of a water insoluble carrier melting below 100.degree. C. and an aqueous dispersion containing 0.25-2,3 parts of a pigment or water insoluble dyestuff at a temperature above the melting point of the carrier and allowing the aqueous phase to become substantially free of pigment or water insoluble dyestuff by its association with the carrier and recovering the resulting pigmented beads which are easily dispersible in polymeric compounds to yield even colorations.
