ABSTRACT:
The present invention is directed to a process for the chlorination of nitroaniline compounds with Cl.sub.2 in a reaction medium containing acetic acid. A process for the chlorination of nitroaniline with Cl.sub.2 in a reaction medium which has been recycled from a prior chlorination is also described.
