ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a process for the liquid-phase preparation of nitriles from aliphatic dicarboxylic acids at temperatures of about 200.degree. to 350.degree. C. using ammonia in the presence of a phosphoric acid-based catalyst, wherein an adsorbent for the catalyst is added to the reaction mixture.
