ABSTRACT:
Improvement in the processes for the manufacture of alkali metal chlorates by electrolysis of alkali metal chlorides characterized by the fact that the temperature of electrolysis is reduced by 30.degree. C. to 50.degree. C. when the voltage of the cell reaches an undesirable level and then reestablishing the normal operating conditions of the cell.
